Shakira will return to the stages of Spain on Friday night in Madrid, holding the first concert of a series of 12 concerts. The venue for these concerts is a temporary location with a capacity of 50,000 people, located in the south of the Spanish capital and known as the 'Shakira Stadium.'

Shakira, 49, last performed in Spain in 2018, and her return to the stage coincides with significant changes in her personal life. Her separation from Gerard Piqué, the legendary Barcelona defender, was publicly announced in 2022. The artist began her world tour in February 2025 to promote her album 'Las mujeres ya no lloran,' which particularly focuses on her experiences following her separation from Piqué, and for this work, she has won her fourth Grammy Award.

Economic Impact on Madrid
Given the lack of announcements for new concert dates in Europe, Madrid officials expect that this series of concerts will have a significant economic impact on the city. In May and June, Madrid hosted ten concerts from another major Latin music star, Bad Bunny. Shakira's return to Madrid has raised hopes for further growth in the music and tourism industry of the city.
Shakira also paid a fine of 7.3 million euros in November 2023, which was part of an agreement with the Spanish judicial system. By admitting to tax evasion, she sought to avoid trial. In this case, she also paid 17.45 million euros to the Spanish tax authorities to update her tax matters in the country.
