The administration of Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has sharply criticized the Supreme Court of the United States for rejecting his request to overturn an order that imposed restrictions on mail-in voting.
Trump's Harsh Criticism
In a lengthy post on his Truth Social account, Trump wrote: "Republicans received another bad decision from the Supreme Court of the United States" and called the ruling "horrible and very political." He also pointed out that some judges "are afraid of these crazy and deranged Democrats" and are unable to show the courage needed to save America.

Proposed Restrictions on Mail-In Voting
Before the crucial November midterm elections, which will determine the composition of Congress for the final two years of his presidency, Trump sought to limit mail-in voting. He has claimed, without providing evidence, that this system is prone to fraud. In March, he issued an executive order directing the United States Postal Service to develop new rules to prevent mail-in ballots from being delivered to voters unless they are on specific state lists.
This order led to 23 states suing the Trump administration, describing the action as "unprecedentedly illegal." The Supreme Court of the United States rejected Trump's request to overturn this order on Monday. In a concurring opinion, Justice Brett Kavanaugh noted that "there is at least a fair chance that the final rule falls within the legal authority of the Postal Service," but added that "state and local election officials do not have enough time to reasonably implement this rule before the election."
Two other justices, Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas, dissented from this decision. Civil rights groups such as the NAACP welcomed the decision, calling it "a major victory for voters ahead of the midterm elections." They also emphasized that "our country functions best when every eligible voter can be heard."
Interestingly, Trump himself voted by mail in Florida earlier this year, citing his inability to be physically present for the election.
