Bissa explains that many travelers contact him with a specific desire to see Atokos and meet the pigs. In some cases, organizers use fruits to lure the animals closer to the boats. For most visitors, meeting the pigs is an unexpected experience that will not be easily forgotten.
The sudden attention to this small island has significantly changed its image. From being an almost unknown destination, Atokos has become a major attraction for thousands of tourists, especially in the summer season.
