Recent Russian attacks on Ukraine have resulted in the deaths of at least five people and injuries to more than twelve others in various parts of the country. As tensions in the region remain high, Ukrainian officials are gathering information and assessing the damage caused by these attacks.
Details of the Attacks in Kyiv and Kherson
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced that at least twelve people have been injured in the attacks on the Ukrainian capital since Tuesday morning. One of the injured has died in the hospital due to serious injuries. According to Kyiv police, warehouses, a shopping center, and a fast-food restaurant were damaged in these attacks, with local media reporting that the restaurant in question was a branch of McDonald's.

In the southern city of Kherson, a 74-year-old woman lost her life due to a Russian drone attack. Alexander Prokudin, the head of the Kherson regional military administration, announced this news on Telegram. Additionally, two men aged 38 and 60 were also injured in these attacks.
Attacks on Critical Infrastructure and Ukraine's Military Efforts
In the Zaporizhia region, Mikhail Semkin, the acting head of the regional military administration, announced that another man was killed and a woman was injured. This attack targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, particularly the country's power grid. Meanwhile, officials reported the deaths of two people and injuries to another in attacks on Sloviansk in the Donetsk region.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that 200 drones were launched towards Ukraine last night, with 187 of them intercepted by Ukraine's defense systems. Additionally, Ukrainian forces reported that they attacked Russian oil facilities in Sizyran and the Atlant Aero facilities in the city of Taganrog. These facilities are dedicated to the production of unmanned aerial vehicles and their components.
In the meantime, the commander of one of the Ukrainian units announced that offensive operations against Russian forces near the city of Lyman have begun. This city is one of the few areas that have not yet fallen to Russian forces since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022. Military analysts believe that the occupation of this city could facilitate Russia's advance towards capturing important Ukrainian cities such as Kramatorsk and Sloviansk.
The commander of Ukraine's Third Army, Andriy Biletsky, stated in a video posted on Telegram that Ukrainian forces have successfully cleared an area of approximately 75 square kilometers.
