Ali Al-Zaydi, the Prime Minister of Iraq, participated today in the Iraq-Germany Economic Dialogue meeting titled "Economic Bridges for a Shared Future" in the German capital, Berlin. This meeting, attended by several businessmen and representatives of major German companies, provided an opportunity to create new collaborations between the two countries.

Development of Economic Cooperation

Al-Zaydi emphasized the existence of multiple common grounds and interests between Iraq and Germany, describing Germany as one of the important industrial countries in the world. He stated: "The Iraqi government seeks to expand cooperation with Germany in various fields and sectors, and today we are outlining the features of a new economy and a promising economic identity."

The Prime Minister of Iraq also emphasized that to support the process of economic development, productive partnerships are needed. In this regard, Iraq's investment map includes various sectors such as energy, oil and petrochemical industries, phosphate, clean energy, and pharmaceutical industries.

Comprehensive Programs of the Iraqi Government

Ali Al-Zaydi also outlined the comprehensive programs of the government, which include a series of financial, tax, and banking reforms aimed at improving the investment environment in Iraq. He invited German companies to invest in Iraq and emphasized that the government is ready to create a suitable investment environment and remove all existing obstacles in the way of German companies' activities.

Al-Zaydi also assured investors that the Iraqi investment law provides extensive facilities and guarantees for them. He added: "Iraq enjoys political and economic stability and has a democratic system that supports the activities of government and executive institutions."

This meeting could be considered a turning point in the economic relations between Iraq and Germany and could help increase investments and economic cooperation between the two countries. As Iraq seeks to attract foreign investment to develop its infrastructure, cooperation with Germany could pave the way for many of this country's economic challenges.
