Anthropic, a leading artificial intelligence company behind the Claude model, is preparing for a public offering on the Nasdaq with a valuation exceeding $2 trillion. Before public investors see its financial accounts, it has already secured a valuation of over $1 trillion (equivalent to €866 billion) in cryptocurrency markets.
History and Growth of Anthropic
Founded in 2021 by Dario and Daniela Amodei, Anthropic has achieved unprecedented value in a short period. The latest valuation of the company was $965 billion (€836 billion) at the end of May, following a $65 billion (€56 billion) funding round led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia. This figure represents an increase of about 16 times from the valuation of $61.5 billion (€53.3 billion) the previous year.

Financial Outlook and Challenges
Anthropic's annual revenue has rapidly grown, reaching $65 billion (€56 billion) by the end of July. However, losses have also been significant, and it is projected to reach $42 billion (€36.4 billion) by 2025. Amazon has committed to investing $33 billion (€28.6 billion) in the company, and Anthropic will spend over $100 billion (€86.6 billion) on AWS technologies in the next decade.
Reports indicate that Anthropic has set an IPO target of $2 trillion (€1.73 trillion), while major financial institutions like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and Morgan Stanley are leading the offering. This offering is expected to raise over $60 billion (€52 billion) in capital.
Given these figures, investors are currently seeking valuations higher than those set in the last funding round. Future perpetual contracts related to Anthropic's pre-IPO valuation are being traded on Hyperliquid, the largest decentralized derivatives market, and currently have an estimated market value of $2.36 trillion (€2.05 trillion).
The year 2026 is expected to be recognized as the year of AI IPOs, starting with companies like Cerebras Systems and SpaceX. Anthropic is also on this path, and given recent developments, it seems that the public offering of this company will attract significant attention from investors and the market.
