However, given the current political situation and the anticipated poor results for the Christian Democratic Union in the state elections, he decided to cancel the trip. An informed source stated: "His presence is needed in Berlin." The state elections on Sunday in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern are of great importance. Scholz's party is expected to perform poorly in these elections, potentially failing to meet the 5 percent threshold required to enter parliament. This situation has increased political pressure on Scholz and his party.

Economic Impact on Society
In addition to political problems, Germany is also facing economic challenges. Fuel prices have risen sharply, leading to public anger. On September 15, the price of E10 gasoline reached about 2.25 euros ($2.60) per liter, and in the following hours, prices increased by up to 0.20 euros per liter. Drivers, especially in rural areas with limited public transport options, are dissatisfied with this situation.

Given the current situation, the cancellation of Scholz's trip to New York has occurred not only due to political problems but also because of economic and social crises.
