According to the latest data from the European Asylum Agency, the number of asylum applications in EU member states as well as Norway and Switzerland has reached its lowest level since 2021 in the first half of 2026. This news comes as Afghans still top the list of asylum seekers.
Increased Demand, Decreased Applications
